Licensing means that the plan must conform to state regulations.Second, check to see if dentists in your area accept the plan you are considering. Finally, check the provisions of the dentist handpiece your dental needs. Make sure that discounts are offered on the treatments and care that you believe you may need.Once you have done all this, choose the affordable individual dental plan that is licensed and best meets all your needs. Then you will have peace of mind knowing that you have access to affordable dental care whenever you need it.

One of the most common objections we deal with in our dental practices is the patient who says "I only want to come in every 6 months, because that is all my dental insurance covers." Patients typically voice this concern at the front desk or over the phone as they are cancelling their 3 month continuing care appointment. At this point most front desk team members freeze and proceed to reschedule nsk dental the patient's appointment to a time when it will be covered by their dental insurance. Normally little thought is given to how to overturn the patient's concern and help them maintain their oral health.

First of all, when a patient states that they only want what is covered by their insurance, this is a classic indication that they do not understand the importance of the recommended treatment and how it will benefit them. All they know is their teeth "feel fine" and they have to reach in their pocket to pay for something they don't see the need for in the first place. They use their dental insurance as a smoke screen, because they truly don't see a reason to pay for something their nsk handpieces insurance company doesn't cover. How then do we overturn this type of objection? The key is patient education. Remember "NO" doesn't always mean "NO". Sometimes it means "KNOW". "I need to know more....I need more information." Ideally this is handled in the operatory when the patient is in the chair.

Instead of using the appointment time as the social hour, the hygienist should be showing the patient the areas of concern on their x-rays, perio charting, and in the mouth. The key is the choice of words as well. Don't say "perio scaling". Say "deep cleaning". Don't say "exudate". Say "pus". Don't say "a little inflammation". Say "a bacterial infection". Let the patient know that it is very important that they come in for more frequent care "so that we can disrupt the bacteria to prevent the infection from getting worse and requiring more extensive, High Speed Handpiece ." Show them the pus, bleeding, etc. so they see it for themselves. If the patient still insists they can't afford to come in beause it isn't covered by their insurance, take that concern and turn it into a motivator. Let the patient know you heard them and explain how coming in every 3 months will actually save them money in the long run. For instance, try using the "feel, felt, found" method to overcome the patient's objection.
