Non hanno dimora le persone costrette ad abbandonare le loro case, i paesi nativi e le patrie per motivi politici o sociali, per fuggire dalle guerre, dalla fame o spinti semplicemente dalla disperazione.Ci sono anche persone che, stimolate dalla curiosità, decise a scoprire nuove culture, si mettono in viaggio lasciandosi alle spalle le loro radici senza mai dimenticarle. Singoli o gruppi che scelgono di vivere sempre in viaggio per fuggire così dalla “schiavitù” che comporta il vivere radicati e fermi in un unico posto.Con questo presupposto abbiamo cominciato ad esplorare culture con tali abitudini o problematiche e in questo modo siamo riusciti a costruire un percorso musicale e coreografico. A partire dalla musica italiana ricordandoci che il popolo italiano è forse uno dei più grandi migratori, spaziando nel mondo Gipsy, musiche e ritmi Gitane, in quello dei Rom dell’est europeo o ancora i Khorokhanè del Kosovo e il mondo e le musiche circensi che radunano culture da ogni paese. Non si possono dimenticare le guerre mondiali piuttosto che i conflitti religiosi ed etnici più contemporanei come quelli dell’Irlanda del sud o dei paesi arabi come il genocidio del Darfur. Si può pensare anche ai famosi tanghi sudamericani che portano la gente a ballare per strada a mostrare le gioie e i dolori vissuti in paesi come l’Argentina che ha affrontato tragedie come i Desaparecidos ”persone fatte scomparire”.Persone che vivono per strada costretti a elemosinare o gruppi di ragazzi che scelgono proprio la libertà della strada per esprimersi con le loro “Street Dance”.Da Astor Piazzolla agli Spandau Ballet.
